NEW MEMBER INFORMATION
To receive electricity from Western Iowa Power Cooperative (WIPCO), you must first apply for membership. As a member-owner of the cooperative, you have a say in how your organization is run. Your voice is represented by elected board members—your neighbors—who make decisions that directly impact the cooperative and its members.
As a member, you also share in the cooperative’s success through capital credits. These are returned to you based on the amount of electricity you purchase from WIPCO, typically distributed on a 20-year cycle.
